During my time working on Myth of Change during the Spring 2025 semester, I focused mainly on environmental design. I worked on designing and sculpting the terrain, terrain texturing, foliage placement, and even some dialogue system research and dialogue file work.
Inspired by The Myth of the Nutria by Paulette Swartzfager. Myth of Change forces you to leave your home, unearthing the discomfort and anxiety associated with leaving one's home and family. As you move away from the home you’ve known your whole life, you’ll say goodbye to loved ones, reconnect with old friends, and meet your new neighbors. Will you accept your new life with hope, or cling to what remains of your past?
Myth of Change is part of the Echoes Vertically Integrated Project at RIT. The VIP program is a program of faculty-run, student-led, multidisciplinary, long-term projects. You can learn more about the VIP program at RIT here: https://www.rit.edu/verticallyintegratedprojects/.
